Olcay Çakır Turgut: “Upcoming Qualifying Games are Very Important for Our Goals”



Olcay Çakır Turgut: “An extremely important period is ahead of us. We all came from club teams during the season. To participate in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 and then to take part in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, we have to pass these exams. These qualifying games are very important for our goals.

We have a limited time to practice, but our advantage is that the system we have been working on still continues. We are moving forward with the same gameplay and the same sets we used before. So I do not think it is going to be so hard. I think we will get used to National Team’s system quickly.”

Ayşe Cora: “We Want to Win for the Name of Turkish Basketball”



Ayşe Cora: “We are now a younger team comparing to the previous National Team rosters. This might even be the youngest roster that we have so far. We have a lot of energy and we really want to accomplish beautiful things. We came here during the season so all of the players are ready for the game pace. I think we came here just in time. We want to play great basketball in the next two games and we want to take victories that Turkish Basketball deserves.

The basketball that Ekrem Memnun wants to play is the same as before. So we did not change our system. This is an advantage for us; we can easily adapt to everything that coach wants in a short time.”

Esra Ural: “I am Happy and Proud of Carrying National Team Jersey”



Esra Ural: “I am happy and proud to be in the National Team. It is a feeling that cannot be described. We look forward to show our best performance. 

We are a team that knows each other very well. We are all very open-minded about learning and we are conscious of everything. We can quickly figure out what is going to happen and what needs to be done. I do not think there will be any trouble; after all, everyone is ready. We all know the meaning of this jersey and we know what the goal is. I do not think we will face any problems.”

Pelin Bilgiç: “We will Fight Until the End”



Pelin Bilgiç: “We are all aware of the seriousness of the games. We do not have a long time to prepare. But all the players know each other very well and this makes the process easier. I feel myself great. We all came from a very intense pace in our club teams. And this is big advantage because everyone is ready for the game pace. We want to catch the momentum and win both two games. We will fight till the end. We want to show our energy on the floor.”
