3X3 Final Comes to Istanbul

Oct 03, 2013
This weekend TBF welcomes the best 3x3 teams in the world for the FIBA World Tour final.

On October 4–5 Istanbul welcomes the best 3X3 teams in the world for the 3X3 FIBA World Tour final. Teams from Slovenia, Romania, Japan, Serbia, Argentina, Venezuela, America, Indonesia and Turkey will compete for the crown in what promises to be an exciting two days of basketball at Barbaros Memorial Square in the seaside neighborhood of Beşiktaş. The teams have qualified for the final by winning regional tournaments on four continents over the course of the summer.

The tournament begins on Friday at 2:30 pm. In the opening round the 12 teams will be divided into three groups, playing a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group and the top two third-place teams overall will advance to the quarterfinals, which will begin on Saturday. From there it’s win or go home.

More than just pride and bragging rights will be on the line, as the winners will take home special prizes.

Additionally, there will be a dunk contest and the Samsung Shoot-out competition, as well as DJs, dancers and other street artists performing throughout the day.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be an exciting two days of basketball.
